The course is situated just a few miles from Muirfield and
Gullane and is readily accessible by road. The course offers
some testing and beautiful holes to enjoy, laid out in a combination
of inland turf and traditional links setting in a coastal
location. Three new greens and other changes have extended
the course to 6,321 yards (standard scratch 70).
"The course snakes round the edge of a breath-taking coastline
offering spectacular views of the Firth of Forth and Bass
Rock, one of the world's largest bird sanctuaries. Its short
13th hole - a blind postage stamp just a hair's breadth from
sand and sea - is widely acknowledged as one of Scotland's
finest. Tip: keep left or your ball is fish food." The Evening
Press (York), 13.7.2002
"Do
not listen to anyone who suggests North Berwick West is all
North Berwick has to offer. There is also the East Course
which not only offers great golfing holes but glorious vistas,
especially on a late summer's evening."
