Bill Forrester - Chairman
Bill became owner of Golf Scotland on October 1st, 2011. Born in 1940 in Perthshire, Scotland, Bill has had a succesful and varied business career. From his early days at BP, to more recent involvement as CEO and Chairman of several public listed companies. A lifelong golfer and lover of Scottish links courses he has retained a strong interest in the game over the years, and along with other directors of Golf Scotland shares a strong desire to grow the business.
Michael Forrester - Director
Michael became director of Golf Scotland after the acquisition in October 2011. Born in 1973 in Glasgow, Michael has had a career primarily based within the field of corporate hospitality. Most recently Michael was General Manager of Edinburgh based MatchPoint, a market leader in the supply of official corporate hospitality to the Scottish marketplace. Much of Michaels' emphasis was on the supply of corporate hospitality for the Open Championships and Ryder Cup. A keen golfer playing off a low single figure handicap, Michaels’ focus with Golf Scotland is on the development of corporate business and the growth of Golf Scotlands’ franchisee network.
Brian McKay - Director
Born in 1983 and raised in Carnoustie, Brian has been a keen golfer and single figure handicap since his teens. After being a part time caddie at Carnoustie Golf Links for 4 years Brian started at Golf Scotland in 2001. Originally employed on a part time contract Brian was soon taken on full time due to his knowledge of the industry and rapport with clients. After 4 Years at Golf Scotland Brian was promoted to Sales Manager followed by office Manager in 2007. Brian continued his rise through the company being made a director of the business in 2009. Brian has been retained as a director under the new ownership and will continue to work with clients throughout the planning process and during the tours themselves.
