You would arrive at the course around 1 hour before your tee time and collected 1 hour after you have finished the round however, this is flexible. Of course, in an escorted tour Golf Scotland is responsible for all fuel costs (In the UK at present fuel is approximately £6 GBP per gallon).

Payment to the caddie should be made in cash. Caddie fees range from £40 - £50 and the generally acceptable gratuity for a job well done is a further £20 per round. You should therefore budget approximately £70 per round for caddies.

Scottish sightseeing opportunities can be provided as suggestions, or a local guide can be arranged for as many days as you wish. The guide will be delighted to show you around each area, pointing out the local attractions and sharing his/her extensive knowledge of Scotland. Below are just a few examples of what Scotland has to offer:
- St Andrews - The town that needs no introduction in the world of golf. Like much of Scotland, St Andrews still bears historical remains of significance and importance in Scotland's upbringing. Why not take a look for yourself...
- Castles - You could spend a tour in itself gazing at all Scotland's magnificent castles and architecture. Each castle has its own story (and usually its own ghost to go with it!). Enjoy a step back in history with tall tales and myth...
- Distilleries - For those of you who enjoy our national drink, Scotland boasts a world famous array of single malt distilleries. Golf Scotland can arrange whisky trail tours, one off visits or whisky tasting for anyone who has a taste for Scotland. Slainte Mhath (good health)...
Dinner Reservations - Table reservations at hotels should be booked in advance to avoid disappointment particularly at the larger resorts of Turnberry, Gleneagles & St Andrews Bay. This also assists the hotels in staffing arrangements to ensure that your experience is nothing short of excellent. Please see our recommended Restaurants list for for exceptional dining experiences in your area.
Whisky Tasting - Since the 15th century, besides devloping the game of golf, the Scots have been just as busy developing a extensive range of fine whiskies. After playing a historic links course, soak up the experience with a tasting session.
I will start with a simple statement.....for the trip that Bobbie and I took with your company to have been any better would have required Tom Watson to have won. I want to talk for a minute about our host Bob Miller; His attention to detail and his willingness to be at anyones disposal whenever required was nothing short of amazing. He knew we had to pull out of the second meal and caught up with us outside the dining hall to ask if he could have anything sent up to the room. He was knowledgeable and oh so friendly. He knew we were heading out to the highlands for a week AFTER the tournament and took the time to draw us a map of where he thought we might find interesting sights......including his favorite Scottish course Royal Dornoch.........Bob, Bobbie thought I was getting too tense driving the narrow roads at 60mph so she insisted we stop and I play.......had an 89 with a bad start (triple, double, double) and tired finish (double, double) but you are so right it was such a joy to play....even got buzzed by the Scottish Air Force in some fighter planes.....way cool......thank you so much for recommending it. Anyway I think you get the picture. Thanks so much again. Thanks
